a few of my non-fiction films for clients

The first of a series of six micro documentaries I made for USAID to explain how they were helping economically disadvantaged people in Indonesia. I made many such films for USAID, mostly with my talented second cameraman Ariesa, before turning my attention to dramatic public service announcements.
I had an amazing experience in South Sulawesi directing and co-shooting this film for the Indonesia Marine and Climate Support Project (IMACS). We stayed with Pak Jumadil, a generous and gracious fishing village chief, in his house on stilts over the ocean (he appears in the film) and we were delighted to be documenting important work mitigating the impacts of climate change.
Marissa wrote this and I directed, shot and edited. One of two San Fransisco feature packages that we made for NET. It was a joy to work with Marissa in the field, and I shot both packages using minimal camera and sound equipment.
Our second San Francisco package to be shown on NET.
One of a series of five performance videos I made for talented Belarus duo Tatisiana (violin) and Mariya (piano).
I shot this one handheld in one take. A different approach, which I think captures the excitement of Mariyana and Tatsiana’s performance.
It was wonderful fun to make this film for human dynamo Angela Richardson’s Clean Up Jakarta day campaign. It teaches clean up volunteers how they can have an productive, safe and enjoyable experience picking up litter on the clean up day Angela started.
Frame grabs of a recruiting film I made for AIP Prisma.
Frame grabs of a company profile micro documentary I made for Ephindo.
Frame grabs from two of many internal training videos I made for Prime Plaza Hotels and Resorts.
